ADB is looking for a Brand Ambassador (BA) responsible for building strong relations with our local reseller partners ( local cable company, MSO – Multiple Systems Operator or similar) to enhance their sales of ADB products and services.
Additionally, the BA should be competent at gaining local knowledge in our markets (currently mainly hospitality and healthcare) and to conduct some business development/sales initiatives under guidance to generate qualified leads that can be passed to the MSO for pricing/proposal and contractual execution.
The relationship with an MSO is supportive to mutually agreed goals of sales and customer service. The business development aspect of the role requires someone that can cultivate sales opportunities, build relationships with prospects and promote ADB and our solutions with the aim of becoming the de facto standard in our field.
To support both functions, the BA will be trained in the relevant ADB solutions and receive demonstration hardware, which they are required to keep abreast of all latest versions, releases and functions and be able to appropriately demonstrate these in a sales, and a sales support environment.
JOB LOCATION: Columbus/Cleveland/Cincinnati, OH
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Engage with MSOs in the area with goal of ultimately being seen as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on ADB’s solutions (including providing on-going training to the MSO sales team)
- Attend prospect/customer sales calls with the MSO sales representative to present and demonstrate ADB’s solutions, handle sales questions and objections effectively and in support of the MSO sales representative
- Help to coordinate efforts to find new sales opportunities and cultivate these to ‘warm/qualified leads’ that can be suitably passed to the MSO
- Provide a ‘white glove’ service to installed customers
- Be highly familiar with hotel and hospital (and other markets as we grow) developments/refurbishments that ADB may be able to serve (which may be individual branches (i.e. hotels or hospitals) or regional operators/chains)
- Effective follow-up of inbound leads
- Development of a lead/prospect list for the market in cooperation with management
- Achievement of business development and objective-based goals on a quarterly basis
- Attend tradeshows/exhibitions/networking events locally and potentially nationally
- Make recommendations to ADB in terms of other activities to support business development needs
- Be familiar with ADB internal systems and support capabilities, thus efficiently assist MSO as needed
- Provide appropriate reporting as required by VP Channel Development, BA Team Leader or management team
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
- BA /BSc plus 1+ year experience in sales, sales support or technical product training
- some experience in hospitality and/or healthcare markets
- experience in promoting, marketing or selling and/or supporting technology, particularly software solutions
- some experience in video technology as a plus
